As its name suggests, Library Hotel is a themed hotel where each room is organized under the Dewey Decimal System. It has a book-lending program of over 6,000 books. So if you’re a bookworm, you’ll go gaga over this hotel.
Rooms boast pictures of New York and their very unique throw pillow embroidered with the hotel’s mantra “Book Lovers Never Go To bed Alone.”
Moreover, the rooms come with a flat-screen TV and an iPod docking station. You will also find free bathrobes and slippers in the room.
However, the hotel does not offer a fitness center. But they provide complimentary passes to New York Sports Club located just down the street.
But for your dining experience, you can go to Madison & Vine. It is an American Bistro and International Wine Bar open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also serve brunch on weekends. You can have a glass of wine with your meal and simply enjoy the place.
And for a chill and fun night, the 14th floor has Bookmarks Lounge. Its the Writer’s Den and Poetry Garden & Terrace that turns to an intimate rooftop bar. Aside from the cocktails and other beverages, it boasts amazing views of the city.
Good to know: Themed as a library, each room at the hotel is individually decorated with a collection of art and books. These books are relevant to one distinctive topic within the Dewey Decimal Classification® of the floor it belongs to.
