The Rookery is a classic boutique hotel nestled in Clerkenwell. Set within a row of 18th-century houses and was built in 1764.

Its name is inspired by the area’s past, as Smithfield was once a dejected slum and a “criminal area”. Today, it’s one of the thriving areas in the city. Now it is filled with cafes, restaurants, pubs, and bars.

The hotel preserved its building’s original features, with the library and oak-paneled lounge still intact. Its decors are not trendy. However, it showcases a big personality that makes it stand out from the rest.

Aside from this, The Rookery’s room is individually styled and adorned with period furnishings. Rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV and a luxury en suite bathrooms.
