Yoshimatsu
Total number of rooms: 5 | Prices start from US$
Yoshimatsu is set on a quiet hilltop surrounded by bamboo groves and koi-filled ponds. This upscale Sukiya-style ryokan brings the best of Japan’s heritage into the now, without sacrificing comfort or service. Here, you get private dining, private onsen options, and views of Mt. Fuji straight from your own outdoor bath (in some rooms).
You’ll be fitted with yukatas on arrival, enjoy tea and wagashi as a welcome, and receive dinner served right in your room. Bear in mind, this place does not cater to vegetarians, gluten-free diets, and seafood allergies.
This is best suited for travelers looking for a peaceful, traditional stay. It’s not ideal for nightlife or western-style hotel seekers. The bedding is futon-style, and meals are seasonal and Japanese. If that’s what you want, it’s perfect.
