St. George Residence is nestled in the World Heritage site of the Castle District. The property is very classic which is evident in its stone walls. 

The hotel gives a very interesting history for all its guests. It was once an inn called Goddess of Fortune which hosted a very famous cafe in its time. Today, it is more than 700 years old.

Moreover, it is said that Austrian commanders stayed here during the 1848 Independence War.  There was even a cannon in the hotel’s courtyard during that period.

And with the property’s age, it may not be as modern as you expect it would be. There is no swimming pool or spa facilities in the hotel. Although you will still find a restaurant that serves Hungarian and international cuisines.

Aside from this, there is also a lounge bar you can grab some drinks at night. It’s also the perfect spot to meet locals and win yourself some new friends.

Furthermore, each unit at the hotel is designed and decorated individually so you can expect a very unique experience during your stay. Each room is installed with a fully equipped kitchenette which comes with a microwave, cooker, kettle, and fridge.

What about the Location?

With the hotel's property, you will be able to reach the iconic Chain Bridge within 12 minutes on foot. With this, you will come to see the shopping area and the center of Pest. Other famous tourists destination you could see within close distance are the Matthias Church, the Palace of the President, Fisherman Bastion, Rock Hospital Museum, and Cold War Shelter.
