The Pulitzer Amsterdam is not your typical hotel – set in 25 interlinked canal houses. For many it is the best hotel in Amsterdam.

This one-of-a-kind property gives you a good mix of traditional and modern Dutch design with touches of glam and luxury.

The houses are originally from the 17th and 18th century. While they have a modern touch, there are still many original features that are intact and integrated into the new design of the houses.

All the rooms offer comfortable beds, adequately sized bathrooms with Le Labo toiletries, minibars, coffee and tea amenities. Interestingly, they also have quirky bicycle puncture repair kits.

Moreover, the hotel has a gym, a spacious garden courtyard, as well as meeting and event rooms.

As for the food choices, Pulitzer is home to Jansz, an upscale all-day dining restaurant. There is also ‘Pause’, the hotel’s lobby and garden cafe. They also have a bar where guests can enjoy delicious cocktails and drinks in a stylish and chic atmosphere.

We enjoyed the hotel’s breakfast as well as their friendly and helpful staff.

However, make sure to check out Pulitzer’s 1909 salon boat which you can take for a tour of the canals. Your private captain will be also your tour guide, sharing interesting facts of Amsterdam.
