Ibsens Hotels is a very homely boutique hotel that has an arty yet funky, and slightly retro vibe. Also, different artisans different shops from Nansensgade have been part of the hotel’s design and decor. Thus, making a total combination of arts.
The lounge area displays different artworks which makes it a beautiful gallery. Arts hangs on walls and local crafts are everywhere.
Furthermore, rooms have special art features like an antique porcelain fireplace or visible wooden beams in the ceiling. Rooms also vary in sizes from Tiny to Extra Large rooms and Suites. Plus, rooms are equipped with a writing desk and cable TV while some may offer a seating area.
Every weekdays, the hotel serves a breakfast buffet from 7 AM to 10 AM. The buffet varies from wonderful selections of bread from traditional Nordic grains, juices, and award-winning charcuterie and cheeses from sustainable organic farms. But it happens that you will miss breakfast, you can order the Grab and Go which is composed of a coffee, a bread roll, fresh fruit, and mineral water.
And for your wonderful dining experience, you got three restaurants to choose from. However, these are run independently. But you’ll not run out of choices. Two of these have direct access from the hotel’s ground floor. They have Japanese, Spanish, and Italian cuisines.
La Roca serves genuine Italian food and offers excellent wines you should try. They also host wine tastings regularly that you might be able to catch. And let’s not forget how the waiters sprinkle parmesan cheese on your pasta.
While Spanish authentic culinary menus vary from authentic tapas to fish or meat main courses. And lastly, Sticks’n’Sushi is where you’ll be able to grab combinations of sushi, such as nigiri and sashimi.
