Hotel Ottilia was once a two brewery building that was converted into the first hotel to open in Carlsberg City. The hotel stands out with its combination of contemporary Nordic design and original features.
Once you come across the area, you will immediately recognize the hotel with its 64 giant gold discs right outside the eastern part of the buildings. And when you enter the property, you will find many original features of the old brewery that has been preserved. The old malt hoppers can be still seen in the lobby. While Danish furniture fills the lounge and blends perfectly with the white walls and 20m high ceiling.
Moreover, Hotel Ottilia offers plenty of amenities like a small fitness room or you can borrow an in-house fitness kit. You want to have a run? The hotel also provides printed and digital copies of the local running routes. And the baths? Yeah, definitely try the ancient baths.
As for the rooms, it comes in colors of greys, browns, and white with raw concrete walls. Rooms also have high ceilings that make the room bigger in space. While some rooms have circle windows that feature seating.
Another thing you shouldn’t miss is the hotel’s top floor restaurant that boasts a 360-degree view of Copenhagen. You can grab Italian dishes here while organic breakfast is served every day. Breakfast is a variety of fruits, cereals, yogurts, pastries, cheeses, and hot dishes.
