Hotel Belmar is one of Monteverde’s most iconic boutique eco-lodges. There’s no air conditioning or TVs in the rooms, and this is intentionally. Instead, you get cool mountain breezes, a swing on your private terrace, and uninterrupted views of the forest. Plus, some really nice tours.

Rooms are rustic-chic, with natural textures, quality linens, and locally made bath products. Forest-view suites offer extra space and large windows that let the outdoors in. It’s quiet and has a calm atmosphere, ideal for disconnecting.

You’ll find plenty of wellness-focused extras here. There’s a free morning yoga class, a juice and craft cocktail bar, and a spa cabin for massages. The onsite restaurant serves farm-to-table cuisine, much of it sourced from the hotel’s own organic garden. Breakfast is à la carte and included.

The stand-out? Its range of curated experiences. You can book the Finca Madre Tierra tour, visit their own permaculture farm, go horseback riding, or walk the ficus tree trails. Families often highlight these activities as their favorite part of the trip.
