At Casa La Cartujita, you’ll find everything you need and nothing you don’t. Or so guests say, and they couldn’t be more accurate. Originally part of a 16th-century colonial convent, the building now houses just a handful of beautifully appointed rooms. Inside, you’ll find a mix between mid-century modern furniture and centuries-old stone walls and wooden beams. It’s the kind of mix that doesn’t try too hard, but still manages to wow.

Each room has air conditioning (yes, the good kind), high-speed WiFi, and soundproof windows. Downstairs, there’s a small pool tucked between the walls of the original structure. Upstairs, you’ll find a rooftop solarium with a hot tub, where you can unwind with a view.

Good to know: Breakfast is à la carte and fresh, with tropical fruit, eggs made to order, and warm arepas served in the courtyard.
