You get history, design, and intimacy in one small, character-rich space. Honestly, Boutique Hotel Schlossberg is not in Bern, but I really wanted to include it. It’s in the lakeside town of Thun, just 31 minutes from Bern by car. Many travelers choose it on purpose because the calm of Thun pairs beautifully with day trips to the Swiss capital.

The hotel has only a handful of rooms, and each one feels different. High ceilings, soft tones, and custom touches give the rooms a warm, design-forward look.
