The Ritz Paris opened its doors in 1898 and was considered to be the most innovative hotel in the city. It was the first to have lifts, electricity, and private bathrooms installed.
Today, The Ritz is considered to be one of the most expensive and luxurious places to stay in Paris. And we cannot argue that it is, indeed, overflowing with French opulence and glory.
The hotel rooms are all equipped with flat-screen TVs, a private bathroom with luxury toiletries, and minibars.
If you want to have your own balcony, you can book a stay in their sixth-floor courtyard room. While situated at the top of the hotel are the most expensive rooms which are the Prestige Suites. These rooms overlook the Place Vendôme.
As a part of their all-out luxury experience, the hotel offers the world’s first Chanel Spa.
They also have a fitness center, sauna, massage facilities, as well as meeting rooms and a garden courtyard.
And for your food experience, the hotels offer a variety of choices.
They have L’Espadon, a Michelin-starred restaurant that serves contemporary twists to dishes made of luxury ingredients. They also have Bar Vendôme where you can get simple brasserie-style dishes.
On the other hand, the Ritz Bar serves French afternoon tea while Bar Hemingway is usually packed in evenings for cocktails.
Good to know: Rooms at the hotel do not have coffee and tea facilities. But their staff can bring you one any time of the day. Interested in shopping? Take a stroll at their shopping gallery, which includes a variety of brands such as Prada, as well as their very own Ritz concept store. The hotel is also home to Ritz Escoffier, a cooking school that runs some cookery and pâtisserie classes in the hotel.
