Hotel Estherea is a 17th-century townhouse turned into an old-world boutique hotel along the Singel canal, one of Amsterdam’s oldest canals.
It is intimate and charming. Stepping inside feels like you transported into a movie set for a period drama.
While it’s undeniably gorgeous and plush, the hotel offers a warm atmosphere making you feel at home.
The hotel rooms feature free Wi-Fi, television, a mini-fridge, and spacious bathrooms with designer toiletries. Some rooms have canal views and whirlpool tubs.
While each room is unique in its own, every one of them offers an elegant touch from the building’s period — some rooms even going as far as having crystal chandeliers and four-poster beds.
The hotel offers free coffee, tea, and snacks all day in their lobby as well as loaner iPads. They have a refined lounge, a library, a 24/7 bar, and a small yet well-equipped gym. Bikes and scooters are available for rent.
While Hotel Estherea doesn’t have a restaurant, they have light meals available for their guests. They also have one of the best breakfasts in town. With lavish spreads of different items like smoothies, cakes, and Mediterranean salads.
Despite its luxurious designs and offerings, Hotel Estherea still feels like an old-fashioned, family-run hotel, with its engaging staff and friendly receptionists.
They are all very hands-on, offering help whenever they can without being intrusive of their guests.
